hot hair tips to beat the summer heat

your hair may never grace a shampoo commercial but it's no reason not to take care of your crowning glory.here's a helpful guide for the hot day:
  • wear a comfortable scarf, hat or cap to protect your hair from the sun, something that will not restrict circulation in your scalp.
  • use a leave-on conditioner on your hair if you don't want a headgear.
  • use a regular sunscreen if you have no leave-on conditioner. but wash with a deep cleansing shampoo after.
  • if you have to use "hot" items such as blow dryers and curling irons, again, use leave-on conditioner before using them.
  • try natural products that are gentler on your hair instead of those with formaldehyde or alcohol.
  • wash your hair less often. shampooing strips the hair of moisture.
  • try dry shampoo if you need to wash your hair, like a baby powder. sprinkle some onto your hair and comb it off.
  • wet your hair first before going into the pool orr ocean. this will decrease absorption of chlorinated or salt water into your hair.(haircareguide.com)
