Born and died: Siena, 25 March 1347 – Rome, 29 April 1380
Notable facts: youngest of 25 children. She began having mystical experience at age of six. Became Dominican Tertiary at 16. Catherine is author of “Dialogue”, where her mystical experiences are recorded. She is one of only three women doctor of the church.
